A Slammin' Sandwich and an Unexpected Herb Garden

I took a short business trip this week to happy land and the home of Mickey--Orlando, Florida. And even though I stayed on hotel premises the entire time, I found some unexpected--and welcome--culinary surprises. First thing's first, I had a killer sandwich:

Cajun-Spiced Chicken Sandwich:
I have to be honest, I wasn't expecting much from a large, convention-style Florida resort in terms of food. I ordered this sandwich for lunch not because it intrigued me but because it sounded safe and impossible to screw up. But to my surprise, what I got was not only spectacular looking but also slammin'-ly delicious.

First off, the steak fries were larger than I've ever seen--and they were mighty good. The best part was that they were super crispy and seasoned well. It was shocking to see how much of them arrived on my plate and although I was temped to eat them all, I held back--but it wasn't easy. The chicken was also superb, grilled to perfection and topped with a stringy Monterrey Jack cheese and a spicy honey mustard. The bun that surrounded it was absolutely gynormous but since I was starving, this did not intimidate me one bit.

And now... the Herb Garden:
While eating a casual breakfast outdoors, I noticed an extensive herb garden growing in harmony right there with the flowers. The herbs were not only fresh and beautiful looking, they were fragrant too! Some of the more unusual ones I found were Mexican Tarragon, Greek "Hot-n-Spicy" Oregano, Italian Oregano, Lemon Mist Thyme, Golden Lemon Thyme, Israeli Sage, Doublemint, Onion Chives, Garlic Chives and more! I had the strong urge to pick a bunch from each herb patch but refrained and snapped these pictures instead. Enjoy.
