This weekend I saw that a new Italian restaurant will be opening in the Pistilli Riverview East building on 24th Avenue and 21st Street. The location will be quite convenient for the residents in the building and it'll join the already existing organic pharmacy on the ground level. I'm excited to find out more about it and promise to post a menu as soon as I get a hold of it. If anyone knows more about it, please give me a shout. I think that an Italian place will be a good addition to that neighborhood, as there's currently a lack of them. Cool. (I'm two blocks away, so...!) The nearest other Italian restaurants are:
ReplyDeleteMichael Angelo's II -- great pizza, good Northern Italian pastas, very friendly owner. 23rd Ave and 29th St.
Vesta -- superlatives are inadequate. 21st St and 30th Ave.
Hellgate? bar, by Astoria Park -- never eaten there, but people like it. Ditmars and 19th St.
All are a 5 to 10-minute walk from the Pistilli building...
Thanks Harlan. Yes, those are all great Italian places but no Italian restaurants yet on 24th Ave so this will be nice. Excited for it to open...
