I've come to grips with the sad reality that the days of The Cup Diner are long gone. Its successor, Bizaare Avenue Cafe--a bizarre name indeed--caught my eye because they're featuring an interesting weekend brunch special:
It's a buffet extravaganza for $14 per person
11a.m. - 3:30p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays
The menu includes typical brunch dishes such as pancakes, breakfast toast, eggs and even entrees such as chicken marsala, pasta variations and any other special that the chef cooks up.
Soft drinks and coffee are included and they're unlimited. If you'd like to get a morning cocktail such as a mimosa or a bloody Mary, you'll have to add a couple of bucks.
I'd like to check it out soon and will let you know what I think.

went there last night, all cocktails are 10 bucks. do you know if the brunch cocktails are unlimited if you pay a higher fixed price? Because that would be cool, otherwise not so much
ReplyDeleteI don't think that the drinks are unlimited :( Sorry!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely never liked CUP much - the service was always horrible and the food was hit or miss, and mostly "miss" whenever I went there. The 32oz Bloody Mary's were, however, a marvel to be missed. Looking forward to giving BizAAre a try!

Actually I don't agree - when the Cup first opened it was phenomenal. Awesome service, great food - and then it was taken over by different management and things were never the same. We'll see what Bizaare brings...
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of afraid of this place. The menu is so over the show I don't trust that the food will be good. The menu looked like a text book when I checked it out. Maybe I've been watching too much Ramsey...
ReplyDeleteHa ha - I hear ya. One way to find out - we gotta try it and then we'll judge.
