Since the summertime, I've been closely watching the progress of a new Trattoria on 30th Avenue. Its name is rumored to be El Greco Trattoria, owned by a Greek proprietor who aspires to put his own spin on Italian food. For a long time, the facade has been blocked off by plywood, but not anymore. The nice wooden and stone exterior is an inviting preview for things to come (eh hem...brick oven pizza)! Its expected time of opening is at the end of this month, so stay tuned for further details and the menu.

ReplyDeleteI hope so too!
ReplyDeleteJudes - what was in the trattoria's space before they moved in? Do you remember?
ReplyDeleteYou know...I don't exactly remember but I don't think it was another restaurant.
ReplyDeleteI feel like it was an insurance place or a cell phone store. I can't wait for it to open up.
ReplyDeleteMe too - it looks super cool and the design looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt was an Insurance Place.
ReplyDeleteThanks Emily.
ReplyDeleteJust ate lunch there and I LOVED IT. Awesome pasta, pizza and banana chocolate calzone for desert! Can't wait to go back with a date.
ReplyDeleteYay! Amazing - I've been hearing great things about this banana chocolate calzone.
ReplyDeletedoes anyone know if they deliver?
ReplyDeleteThey don't deliver yet but will probably deliver next week.
ReplyDeleteWell they are already on my bad side. I went by there and asked the waiter if they delivered, he responded "yes" and gave me a paper menu. I figured rather than wait for a take out order, I'll go home and order for delivery. Sure enough, I called and the response I received was they are not delivering at this time. I can't stand INCOMPETENCE!
