I love Sangue di Giuda. I had it for the first time for my birthday three years ago at Tarallucci e Vino in Union Square when my friend randomly picked it off the menu and it's been my go-to wine ever since. Sadly, it's kind of hard to find, even in NY, but everyone I've served it to has become a fan!
ReplyDeleteThis is my entry! My favorite wine is a buttery Chardonnay
ReplyDeleteMy favorite wine is a crisp and fruity Sauvignon blanc from New Zealand, Marlborough region
ReplyDeletethis looks like a great event! i love rich, spicy reds - my favorite wine that i've ever tasted was revolver wine company's "the fury" cabernet franc. it didn't hurt that it accompanied an incredible 7-course meal. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my I love wine. My favorite, at this time of year, would have to be an earthy Cabernet with notes of later season fruits. It's just so warming in the winter.
ReplyDeleteCantina Zaccagnini Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is my favorite, but I also recently discovered South African Pinotage (I've tried a few different wineries and like them all).
ReplyDeleteThe Penner-Ash Viognier from Oregon! So good!
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with priorats while traveling the north of Spain -- jammy but in the most elegant way. Quaffable, but great with food, too.
ReplyDeleteNapa Valley Cabernets are my favorite. Everytime I think its something else, I always return back to them. Its strange but true.
ReplyDeleteNothing better than a great Cabernet!
ReplyDeleteI love sweet German Riesling! Also love wines from Bonny Doon vinyards blancs. Hard to find in NY :(
ReplyDeleteI love Rieslings. I eat a lot of spicy food and sweet Rieslings are a perfect match!
ReplyDeleteI just discovered Petite Sirah - a smoky/high tannin wine that is perfect with dinner or as an enjoyable glass.
