Since we all know that the big storm is coming tomorrow night, many of you probably won't be dining out, but you'll want to get out on Thursday instead. That's why I wanted to spread the word about Astor Room's bourbon tasting, which is happening on Thursday, 3/7 at 6:45 p.m.
Collaborating together with 36th Avenue Wine & Spirits, the bourbon tasting will involve a little lesson about your favorite spirit from a distillery representative. Throughout the course of the evening, you'll learn about bourbons such as Eagle Rare, Elmer T. Lee, Buffalo Trace, Blanton's & Pappy Wan Winkle 12 year.
And for a little noshing, you'll also enjoy Astor Room's sophisticated hors d'oeuvres, served throughout the evening. It all starts at 6:45 p.m. and will set you back $40/person, which is quite reasonable for the amount of bourbon you'll be trying.
